What is Electricians Insurance?
Accidents can happen in your line of work, and even skilled electricians can make mistakes when they’re working at clients’ homes.
If you cause property damage or injury to a third party and are found responsible, our insurance will cover you against compensation claims.
With Churchill, you get reliable, flexible cover for all aspects of your business.
You can tailor your insurance to suit the unique needs of your business and only pay for the cover you need.
What does Electricians Insurance cover?
Business Insurance for electricians starts with our standard Public Liability cover, and you can add a range of optional extras to tailor your policy to exactly what you need.
Public Liability Insurance
Public Liability Insurance isn’t legally compulsory for electricians, but most people in the industry think it’s essential.
Public sector organisations and large companies are unlikely to work with an uninsured electrician, so you could miss out on valuable work if you’re not covered.
Having Public Liability Insurance means you’re protected if you or an employee accidentally injures a member of the public or damages their property.
Our Public Liability Insurance offers you up to £1 million of cover as standard, with the option of increasing it to up to £10 million.

Employers’ Liability Insurance
Employers' Liability Insurance is a legal requirement under the Employers’ Liability Act 1969 if you employ staff or apprentices.
It covers you if one of your employees is injured or becomes ill while they’re working for your business.
Employers' Liability Insurance is provided as standard if you have employees.
