What is Professional Indemnity Insurance?
Professional Indemnity Insurance covers your compensation and legal fees if a client accuses you of providing inadequate advice or services and makes a claim against you or your business.
For example, emailing sensitive information to the wrong contact isn’t a mistake you’ll make very often but it could result in legal action against you.
Professional indemnity insurance is important if you offer professional services to a client and they believe your advice caused them to lose money or suffer reputational damage.
You can add up to £5 million Professional Indemnity Insurance to your Professionals Insurance policy as an optional extra.
